our crazy fun packed weekend

last weekend we woke up early and decided to go to the zoo....it was nice...not too hot YET and the animals were nice and active...not lazy and sleeping.

gar thought these were fake penguins because they stood in weird positions and didnt move
yes..that is my husband petting a shark....i did too...they feel nasty
here is kaida with her blankie....had to take it everywhere with us...she is becoming really attached to it lately!
here is the highlight of her day...she got to touch a star fish...she didnt want to stop touching it either....the lady is like "touch soft and only use 2 fingers" .....ya right
on our way home from the zoo we saw the chicago sign and decided what the heck...why not. so on a whim we drove 3 hours to chicago. my baby always wanted to see the sears tower (tallest in NA) and have some chicago style deep dish pizza.

downtown chicago...the cleanest nicest city i have ever seen...plus it is huge!...tall buildings everywhere!
i could hardly fit this building in the picture...so tall....i was practically laying on the ground, looking like an idiot (the real sears tower)

p.s...my white balance was off the whole time, hence the aweful color...i tried to fix it a bit...sorry about that
